Odlazak prvog Betmena: Preminuo glumac Adam Vest

Američki glumac Adam Vest, najpoznatiji po glavnoj ulozi u prvim ekranizovanim verzijama priča o Betmenu, koje su emitovane tokom šezdesetih godina prošlog veka, umro je u 89. godini.

Vest je preminuo u Los Anđelesu posle kraće borbe sa leukemijom, saopštio je portparol porodice.

Vest je rođen 1928. godine u državi Vašington, a karijeru je započeo na Havajima 50-ih godina prošlog veka, preneo je BBC.

I don't usually get weird about celebrity deaths... but this one is different. It's weird growing up knowing you have the same name as a celebrity. It has ultimately been a great ice breaker to share a name with a legend from days before I was even born. In a way, it's almost moulded my interests. It's always a great conversation piece, and 99% of the new people I meet, it comes up literally immediately. I've been pretty lucky too. Adam West was a goddamn badass mofo who owned everything he did. Over the past few years, the Batman references slid to Family Guy references. I know pop culture has an effect on us all, be it music/film/whatever, but I can't help but feel that Adam West, the man/myth/legend has directly impacted my life. Everyone has heroes who pass on, today I've lost another one. But, his legend will live on. It's been a slice, old chum. RIP.
